Identifying funding to support your business start-up, development or growth plans can be a frustrating process. There are many opportunities available for businesses, both regionally and nationally, but accessing the right funding stream to meet your business needs can be a real challenge.

Eden Business Support Fund - set up for locally based Eden Businesses looking to expand, grow and upskill their work force:


Enterprise Answers - Cumbria`s own Community Development Finance Institution. Providing loans and support to businesses unable to raise finance from High Street Banks:


Start-Up Loans  - Government backed personal loans available to individuals and businesses looking to start or grow a business in the UK. Borrow between £500 - £25,000:


RDPE (Rural Development Programme for England) - LEADER Funding can be accessed through two main LAG (Local Action Groups) in Cumbria:

Applying for funding


Although the application process will vary depending on who you are applying to, most funders will require an up to date and comprehensive Business Plan, with sufficient information to support your application.
